At Nepal Inside Out, we believe that travel is more than just a destination and a journey. It’s about respect, connection, and impact. Our goal? To design sustainable trips to Nepal that not only showcase the country’s beauty but also improve the well-being of people, nature, and culture. We expand tourism to lesser-known regions, strengthen local communities, and protect natural areas. Every trip is an opportunity to leave a lasting legacy—for the traveler and for Nepal.

Fair choices on the spot

Our sustainable tours to Nepal take you to small-scale accommodations: cozy guesthouses, homestays, and hotels run by local families. No international chains—just personal encounters and authentic experiences. By visiting remote regions, we support the local economy and offer travelers a richer, more authentic experience.

Transparent collaboration and quality standards

Sustainability is embedded in every aspect of our organization. We select partners who share our values, encourage local suppliers to operate sustainably, and invest in training for our team. This enables guides, porters, and accommodations to improve their quality and accountability, contributing to first-class sustainable travel in Nepal.

Policy guidelines and international recognition

Our work is based on a clear sustainability policy focused on health and safety, child protection, fair working conditions, and environmental protection. Since 2016, we have been a partner of Travelife, an internationally recognized standard for sustainable tour operators. We report to them every two years on all aspects of our business. This ensures transparency and continuous improvement. We have also successfully participated in the German Import Promotion Desk (IPD) program, which supports local businesses in sustainable tourism. This has strengthened our professional approach.

How we shape sustainability

Beyond our policies and partnerships, we wanted a way to give something back to Nepal that you can see grow over time. That’s why every trip with us includes a contribution to Green Intelligence, a forest restoration partnership working to bring tree cover back to parts of Nepal that need it most. It’s a small addition to your trip, and a lasting one for the land.
